Q:Is there any chance that you will be at the Anime Expo this year?
I’ve never done a show before or been to any con as an exhibitor, but that will change this year. Anime Expo seems like a huge commitment for me since this will be my first year (and also seeing as how I’m located in Virginia and Anime Expo is in LA), but I will be trying to branch out though. I guess that’s more than what you wanted to know…so long answer short, no unfortunately.
Rogue sketch, original artwork.
I was going through some old art folders and found this drawing that I did of Rogue almost 2 years ago. And the more I looked at it, the more I thought that I could improve it…so thats what I did. Hopefully I can put some time aside to actually finish this one.
Q:Just wanted to say that I found u while looking for inspiration & now I am a big fan. Recently got back into digital & I am on a learning journey. I would like to know what tools you use? Do you sketch by hand/software? Color by hand/software?
I’m glad that I could help you pick up drawing digitally. I just want to preface this by saying, don’t get discouraged if things don’t come out how you envision them at first…I’ve been learning pretty much all on my own since like 2009, and I’m still learning new things with everything that I draw. I used to use GIMP (and its free!), but I currently use Photoshop CS4. I have CS5, but I just personally prefer CS4. I do everything primarily in Photoshop, from sketches to the colors and inks. I found some great pencil brushes a while ago from here which also includes some inking brushes that I use as well.
There’s no magic to any of it…as I still sketch traditionally as well. The only thing that I can honestly tell you is practice…practice, practice. Hope that helps!
Q:I absolutely love your artwork, not only do they have beautiful colors, but the women are so real. Their bodies are so real, they are not just stick figure models and not to mention the fierce hair. They bring out my inner bad ass.... Thanks for the great artwork.
No, thank you for loving my scribbles and sketches!
If you’re a subscriber to Game Informer magazine, the newest issue with Metal Gear on the cover has a nice surprise in the reader art section. A couple of years ago, I submitted a Legend of Zelda piece and it wasn’t even chosen, so I just randomly entered again with my Super Princess Toadstool pic and came in first place. I completely forgot about it too, since I submitted it like months ago. Yay, I won something!
Q:I am looking for a superwoman of color. do you have anything like this?

Long Distance Relationships, original artwork.
Long distance relationships are hard work…very hard work. But those moments that you are together make it all worthwhile. Even if you’ve seen that person a hundred times, you still get that feeling in your stomach on your way to see them.
If you would like to purchase this as an 11” x 17” print, you can do so here: Illumistrations.storenvy.com
